The Tradition of St. Brigid's Crosses
Our school, St Brigid's N.S is named after one of Ireland's most beloved saints. St. Brigid is an important figure in Irish history, known for her kindness and generosity. After learning about her life and the significance of the St. Brigid's Cross, which symbolises protection and blessings, 4th class had a wonderful time making their own crosses. A big thank you goes to all the children who collected rushes to help create these special crosses, allowing everyone to participate in this wonderful tradition.
