The children in Junior Infants – Second Class enjoyed a Ceol na nÓg music workshop with Gráinne Hambly a few weeks ago. Gráinne is a professional harpist and musician and we were delighted to have her in the school to teach the children about the harp and about the life and music of Turlough O’Carolan. The children also had the opportunity to listen to harp tunes and to learn about the musical elements. The children in 2nd Class also played their musical instruments during the workshop and they had a wonderful music session with Gráinne at the end of the lesson.
